- We have innovated a way to organize individuals [from different organizations] to innovate in a group. Innovation for us is any novel combination of knowledge to get to any advance that we need to get to.
- Making the [innovation] alliance temporary helps to [ensure] a clear purpose, a clear organizational structure, and the motivation for everyone to achieve the goal.... When the goal is achieved, [the alliance] does not have a self-interest to continue. Everyone has a homebase to go back to.
