• We do no hardware [instrumentation] whatsoever.  We come in to speak all the different protocols, of all the assets of that business, whether it’s a  data center,  a building, a power plant, an oil & gas well, a chemical refining facility, a diesel generator up in the oil sands of Canada… We’ll bring all that information in whether it’s hardwired or wireless satellite, and we homogenize that.   Very scalable…We are not relational, though we interact with relational very well, but proprietary real-time data that is the leader for this particular type of data.
• We will get you all the way there with your business needs…with our tools and the configuration thereof. You have two choices, through our SDK (software development kit) you can write your own custom applications on top of our infrastructures….And we have a very broad family of partners in various industries who can develop a custom solution for you.
• Advice for innovators?  Watch your overhead…Try to do as much as possible using other assets available to you.  If you can develop on a cloud in a very low-cost way, do that.  Look towards the market, and your scalability and your breadth… Many companies seem to be very niche-focused.   The secret of our success is a combination of niche, and a broad spectrum of customers, and that whole infrastructure that allows us to be very sticky, and very much a part of their businesses.
